Leaned Kubernetes & passed the CKA exam purchased on black friday sale

The Linux Foundation has a big sale on black friday every year. It's a very valuable offer because the "Course + Certification Bundles" are discounted 60% with free swag. It’s cheaper than the normal price of an exam! And "Power Bundles" are more discounted. So, I purchased "Kubernetes Fundamentals (LFS258) + CKA Exam Bundle " and leaned on the course then took the exam and got the CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator). So, let me share this experience and why I recommend this course.

Actually, I have 2 experiences of managing Kubernetes clusters. One is AWS EKS on my current job for 2 years, another is the on-premises cluster built by kubesplay for a few months. So, I already understood most of part but some part not. So, even though I have experiences it was worth learning on the course. This is why I recommend this course.

Speaking of the exam, it's my first time taking the Linux Foundation’s exams and I was surprised because it was NOT knowledge testing like many of IT certificate’s exams. It's a really practical exam that candidates need to type commands, create configuration files, verify the results on the terminal. As the official document said, candidates can use an additional browser tab to search something on the specified official sites. It means that even though candidates have enough knowledge, it doesn’t make sense if they cannot put it into practice to meet the requirements. It’s totally the same as real jobs.

The course has 2 things, one is learning knowledge and another is hands-on labs. Of course learning knowledge and understanding it is important. So, as I explain the above, to pass the exam, it’s important to actually do the hands-on labs.

I got the valuable course and an exam ticket including one free retake for just $199. Their black friday sale is awesome!
